When you care deeply about your work, it can be hard to separate purpose from pressure.
Many founders and freelancers feel pulled between doing meaningful work and making decisions that feel financially or strategically necessary. You want to stay aligned with your values, but also need to pay the bills.
This workshop explores how those two forces can work together, rather than in opposition.
In this session, you’ll:
✨ Reflect on what truly matters to you in your work
✨ Identify where practicality has felt at odds with purpose
✨ Explore how to make decisions that honour both values and viability
✨ Develop clearer boundaries around energy, money and expectations

I’ve always found journaling tricky, but linking it to work actually makes it so much easier. I realised I often let passion win over practicality… until practical-me crashes out at the end of the month lol 🤭
This hour let me slow down, reflect, and leave with steps to make work (and life) better i.e I’ve now scheduled in a meeting with practical me and passion me every week 🤣
HR Dani – boss bitch, contract queen, invoice mad, bit type A
Big Sis Dani – creative angel who wants to do everything (to her dismay, I guess…) Big type B baby
I’m even planning to rewatch this every 3 months as a check-in, so this is something that could be added to some sort of email automations to remind members to check in with themselves. For me, freelancing can be a big, wide and scary world, and this reminded me to put my own 1:1s and goal-setting back in the diary (something I genuinely miss from full-time work with my managers!)
Big love to Lucia and Emma for creating such a safe, welcoming space! 🌷
